CTIA Statement After the House Judiciary Committee Markup of the Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act

After the U.S. House Judiciary Committee markup of the Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act (H.R. 3086), I said:

“With today’s action, the House Judiciary Committee has taken an important step toward heading off Internet access taxation. We hope the full House will follow suit as soon as possible.

“CTIA thanks Chairman Goodlatte for his leadership on H.R. 3086. The bill enjoys broad bipartisan support and Congress should move this summer to make ITFA permanent.”
