CTIA Statement on FCC’s Broadcast Spectrum Incentive Auctions Order

After the FCC's Broadcast Spectrum Incentive Auction Order was released, I said:

“With more than 325 million consumers choosing mobile wireless services, and with more than $34 billion invested in mobile wireless networks last year alone, it is no wonder that Congress called on a bipartisan basis for the incentive auction. The FCC’s Order represents a significant step toward a successful auction, and we believe that the Order strikes the right balance to ensure that consumers emerge as winners. More broadly, the airwaves made available through this auction will fuel infrastructure investment, spur job creation and foster the virtuous cycle of competition and innovation – benefiting consumers throughout the country. We look forward to working with the Commission, Congress, and all affected stakeholders to ensure a positive outcome and a successful auction next summer.”
