CTIA Announces 2013 E-Tech Award Winners

Hosted by CNBC Technology Correspondent Jon Fortt, the eighth annual awards ceremony, held on the show floor at the Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center, honored the industry’s most innovative new wireless products and services in mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise & vertical markets and network technology.

In addition to the winners of the 15 categories spanning the wireless and mobility ecosystem, Verizon Messages from Verizon Wireless was named “Best of Show.” The best online winner was VMware for its Horizon Workspace 1.0. Show attendees had the opportunity to vote online and via text for the nearly 100 E-Tech submissions that were on display.

E-Tech award submissions were judged on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall “wow” factor. Online judging for the awards categories was conducted by a panel of highly-respected industry experts, reporters and analysts.
