Save the Children was nominated by M.K. Mollohan, who is a part of the Wireless Internet Development and Cybersecurity and Technology teams. She said:
To aid helpless and defenseless children in a war-ravaged central Europe, Save the Children Fund was founded in 1919 by an Oxford-educated teacher and then was quickly established in the States by inspired Americans. After 93 years, Save the Children continues to serve those of us, children and families that are hurting right now in more than 120 nations. Around the world, there are many struggles, even in our own country. So many people are impoverished, marginalized or vulnerable and Save the Children works to protect, educate and provide better opportunities for all those millions of girls and boys who are at risk of or affected by natural disasters, diseases and ethnic violence.
