In response to the U.S. House of Representatives approving the FCC Consolidated Reporting Act (H.R. 3310), I released the following statement:
“CTIA congratulates Congressman Scalise for moving the FCC Consolidated Reporting Act through the House with broad, bipartisan support. This is a common sense bill and we hope the Senate will approve it soon. In a similar vein, we urge the FCC to be mindful of the need to further streamline its reporting processes, with the objective of substantially reducing the volume of material that carriers need to file. Eliminating quarterly obligations and moving to annual filings would reduce the burden imposed on carriers and be consistent with what Congress is trying to achieve with this bill.”
