Day Two is coming to a close at International CTIA WIRELSS® 2012. It was an exciting day at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center here in New Orleans, Louisiana. Today’s keynotes started off with Steve Largent, who spoke about the economic impact that wireless brings to the economy, including this fact: for every additional 10 percent gain in 3G and 4G penetration, almost 250,000 jobs are added.
Steve was followed by four keynote speakers:
- Gary Kovacs, CEO of Mozilla Corporation, spoke about developing for the mobile web and the rapid increase of web browsing on mobile devices;
- John Riccitiello, CEO of Electronic Arts, discussed opportunities in mobile gaming;
- John Partridge, President of Visa Inc., talked about the future of mobile payment systems; and
- Daniel Ek, CEO and Co-Founder of Spotify, who said his company turns music listening into an experience that can be shared with others.
Clips from all keynotes are available on the show coverage page.
